ABOUT CARLO ROBUSTELLI
I’ve spent my career connecting people to causes and institutions that transform lives—because I know firsthand what that transformation looks like.I’m a first-generation college student whose grandparents came to the United States with little more than hope and work ethic. My family built bakeries and pizzerias, teaching me that success comes from serving others and showing up every day. My own education opened doors I didn’t know existed, particularly a study abroad experience that fundamentally changed how I saw the world and my place in it.That’s why I do this work.As Vice President for College Advancement at Dickinson College, I lead our efforts to build meaningful relationships with alumni, donors, and friends who believe in the power of liberal arts education. Since joining in 2020, our team has achieved the largest fundraising year in the college’s history and donors investment more than $80 million in scholarship support alone, ensuring that students can access transformational educational experiences.I believe advancement professionals are matchmakers, not miracle workers. Our job is to understand what matters to people and connect their passions to institutional priorities in ways that are authentic and meaningful. Right now, I’m particularly interested in finding ways to better support alumni career services as disruptive innovations like AI reshape the labor force—our graduates need us beyond commencement.I’ve also served my community beyond higher education, including on nonprofit boards and legislative bodies, because I believe in civic engagement and giving back to the places that shape us.If you’re passionate about education, philanthropy, or building teams that do meaningful work, I’d love to connect.
