ABOUT CARLO ALCOS
I\'m a freelance videographer and documentary filmmaker who started working in the digital media industry in 2009. In addition, I have several years experience as a writer and editor, content producer, and video editor (for social media videos geared for virality, branded videos, and short documentaries). Storytelling is my passion; I have a keen eye for extracting the compelling story to focus on. I\'ve been working remotely for over a decade and specialize in sound editing/design/mixing and editing. I work mainly in Premiere and Resolve. I shoot with a Sony FX30 and Sony FS5, and have my basic certification in Canada as a drone operator (DJI Mavic Air). As I\'ve performed various roles I have a strong cross-sectional expertise in the digital media industry. Besides being technically adept with many content creation platforms and softwares I would consider myself a people person and a strong team collaborator. I believe in making people feel heard and valued and am very open with my communication. Aside from my video work I\'m an outdoor enthusiast who skateboards, rock climbs, hikes, and plays competitive tennis. I live with my wife and cat in Nelson, BC.
