ABOUT CARLO TORRES

My professional experience is grounded first in the electrical trade where I first started as a laborer then apprentice. I attained my journeyman licensure after four years of training. My trade experience comes from a variety of projects, the most extensive being industrial installations at Intel site in Rio Rancho. I learned to use all types of power conduit benders, ridged pipe threaders, powered cable pulling equipment, electrical testing equipment and hot work procedures and equipment. Afterward my experience is commercial building based.I achieved my Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certificate in 2010 and I transitioned myself to an electrical/telecommunications design role for an A/E firm. I have designed projects for federal, commercial and private clients using AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32 and SKM Power Tools. I adept at problem solving and have performed commissioning/acceptance testing for power substations, private clients and commercial projects. My first master\'s degree is from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Construction Engineering Management. Utilizing this degree, I was a Project Manager and Solutions Architect for ANM on various state and local government jobs and private clients. I leveraged my skills as a designer to perform project cost estimations, scheduling, crew managment and project closeout processes. Currently, I am an MBA candidate at the University of New Mexico studying finance. I desire to bring together my skills and education into leadership. I enjoy construction and the many facets that the projects have.
