About Carlo Mears
As of May 3, 2024, I am truly honored to begin my tenure as President & CEO of Harper Engineering. For me, personally, this represents a 25+ year zenith of dedicated service with innovative Aerospace suppliers and solutions providers—and a career characterized by an ability to think pragmatically and analytically, direct creatively, and lead with empathy. A main focus for me has always been collaboration; continuous connection and engagement with customers, employees, stakeholders, business partners, shareholders, and Board members. This is the only way we can drive value and win together! A fine example of this? My recent experience as VP and GM, during which time I cultivated a new agreement with a Tier 1 Aerospace partner to create a symbiotic program that not only solidified our mission and business-critical relationship—it guaranteed a new eight-figure revenue stream moving forward. Additionally, It has been greatly fulfilling to be part of leadership efforts garnering “Boeing Supplier of the Year” honors—a total of five times with two different companies. Today, I find myself newly energized and excited to help advance Harper Engineering’s innovative culture and unwavering commitment to the customer—through 2024 and beyond. To this end, I will be leading our teams of high-performing professionals to align collectively with the needs of our customers and partners—through execution of a multi-pronged strategic roadmap. Just a handful of its tenets cross-organizational talent management and deployment of assets to realize our full potential—including significantly increased utilization of our ERP manufacturing data to achieve greater efficiency; revamping factory floor value stream mapping and establishing a Stock Parts program for our more popular product a proactive outbound GTM strategy to cultivate sustainable new business pipelines—helping us remain an industry leaderA proud veteran of the United States Marines, I served in both Desert Shield and Desert Storm. While there, the lessons I learned about camaraderie, leadership, and selflessness define my ethos to this day. Success doesn’t happen in a vacuum, or because of the exclusive efforts of one individual. It’s always about teamwork and collective focus. Let’s get this done, together!
