ABOUT CARL KENNEBREW
I have been a proud member of IUE-CWA for over 25 plus years, where I currently serve as International President. I attended and graduated from The Minorities Leadership Institute, which was an intensive program dedicated to increasing the involvement of minorities at all levels of the union. I also served 12 years as a Leadership Trainer for Dmax-ltd, where I taught classes such as Diversity, Change, Communication, and Team Concept. I obtained my Life Coach Certification through Fowler Wainwright International Institute of Professional Coaching. I am also a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Trainer and Mediator. I am also serving on the Jobs To Move America Board, The AFL- CIO Industrial Unions Council, The Ohio AFL-CIO Executive Council, The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance Board, The Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board, The United Way of Greater Dayton Board of Trustees, and The Dayton Metro Library Board of Trustees. I am also a member of a few community partner groups such as Restorative Passages Mentoring Program, The Ohio Organizing Collaborative, the Miami Valley Organizing Collaborative, and a Board Member for GDUCI (The Greater Dayton Union Co-op Initiative). I was recognized as 2017 Top Ten African American Males. Additionally, receiving the 2017 Staircase to Excellence Award, the 2017 United Way Volunteer of The Year Award, and Dayton’s 2017 Men of Influence.
