About Carlin Starr Evans
I am eager to connect with professionals in public relations, arts management, marketing, diplomacy, and transitional justice.Currently a sophomore at The Ohio State University, I am double majoring in French & Francophone Studies and International studies with specializations in International Relations & Diplomacy and Middle Eastern Studies. I am also minoring in Psychology. As a Research Assistant for Peacebuilding, I provide support to the Associate Director for Peacebuilding at The Mershon Center for International Security Studies on research initiatives in Latin America. The main project I do research for concerns the Memory, Mourning, and the Disappeared in Colombia. My fluency in Spanish helps me translate and interpret interviews and documents, compile data, and code transcripts, among other responsibilities. As the Editor-In-Chief for Her Campus, I am responsible for managing the members of the Her Campus at Ohio State editorial board, overseeing content, and doing secondary-edits edits before articles are published. Through Her Campus, I have helped promote brands such as Sol De Janeiro, Lancôme, and Clinique using marketing campaigns and strategic sample distribution to introduce Ohio State students to the brands and their products.

The main project is \"Ritual Landscapes: Returning the Disappeared of Colombia\" which is being done in partnership with Columbia\'s Search Unit for Persons Reported as Missing. Main Responsibilities- Handling confidential and sensitive data with integrity- Translating and interpreting interviews and key documents- Coding and analyzing transcripts- Compiling, organizing, and archiving data- Writing summaries- Attending meetings, interviews, online workshops, and/or focus groups.
