About Carling Hay
I am a geophysicist interested in applying advanced statistical techniques to solve problems spanning from climate science and impacts, to adaption and resiliency. My research focuses on developing machine learning methods to estimate global and local sea level changes over the 20th century using temporally and spatially sparse data sets. I believe that solving today’s problems will require combining scientific understanding with non-traditional datasets in robust statistical frameworks.
