About Carley Rodenbush

I am driven second-year Computer Science student at Indiana University Bloomington with a specialization in Game Design with minors in French, Mathematics and Data Science. My academic excellence reflects my drive to innovate in game design, contribute to technology education, and expand accessibility in games by incorporating my French language skills. In my position as an Instructor at iD Tech camps, I provide tailored instruction to students from diverse backgrounds and with varying educational needs. I create detailed lesson plans to ensure each meeting is productive and fosters a safe, enriching, learning environment. I apply my skills in Python, Java, Lua, and math to facilitate the creation of individualized projects that bring their unique ideas to life. Working in the classroom has prepared me to problem-solve and be flexible.Complementing my technical skills, my role as a Peer Mentor at the Luddy Living Learning Center (LLC) strengthens my collaboration and leadership skills. In this role, I serve as a confidant to guide first-year of approximately 6 students at Luddy and connect them with University support services. Additionally, I am responsible for planning and hosting events that encourage community involvement. This experience has strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively, deepened my empathy, and allowed me to directly contribute to student engagement, adaptability, and interpersonal growth.Passionate about game design, technology, and education, I am always searching for opportunities to leverage my skills to make a meaningful contribution. Let\'s connect!
