ABOUT CARL M. COHEN
I am a marketing executive from Chicago. My career began with product management and marketing communications at the Schwinn Bicycle Company where I received an ADDY National Finalist Award from the American Advertising Federation, had Schwinn racers on the cover of Wheaties cereal and co-sponsored the Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilding Classic. Mid-career took me into new product development. At Sassy Infant Products I received three patents and the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA) Product of the Year. Then four Innovation Design & Engineering Awards at the Consumer Electronic Show for work done at Sima Products. Since moving to the Washington, DC area in 2012, I have helped over thirty non-profits improve their strategic planning and marketing programs mostly through the Taproot Foundation and Compass Pro Bono.
