ABOUT CARLA SILVA LOPES
I am a translator/proofreader and team manager from Portugal, living in the UK since 2016. I have mainly worked with sports, gaming, and media content as a translator. I have a wide experience working with website localisation, and I am very comfortable with Html content, placeholders, tags, etc, and experience with CAT tools, such as memoQ. I also write small sections to include in articles, which is an area I truly enjoy. My previous working experience also allows me to work with technical legal translations with no issues. In the past two years, I\'ve also been managing a team of linguists, acting as their line manager, and working on developing their skills and careers. As a Senior Linguistic Manager, I am now also responsible for the performance of internal translators, and output on the whole, including recruitment, workload planning, resource mapping and fulfilling training needs.
