About Carla R. Messer

As the Chief Results Officer of my own management consulting firm, I have been helping organizations solve their most pressing business problems for more than 25 years. I have interdisciplinary experience spanning sales management, marketing, HR, and operations, with extensive experience maximizing talent investments for profitability. I have led projects in innovative technology solutions, agency mergers, sales training, and hiring processes, resulting in improved efficiency, performance, and growth for my clients. I am also the President of the Board at Hope House Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization that serves more than 450 homeless people annually with shelter, food, clothing, and life skills. I have spearheaded fundraising campaigns, facility expansions, service delivery reorganizations, and community partnerships, resulting in reduced recidivism, increased positive housing outcomes, and enhanced quality of life for the people we serve. I was an assistant professor at a regional campus of Indiana University for 20 years before my satellite campus closed due to low enrollment. I taught courses in business; leadership, management, ethics, and entrepreneurship. I coached more than 150 student groups on start-up businesses. I hold a PhD in Ethical and Creative Leadership from The Union Institute and University, and an MBA in Business from The Ohio State University. I have a passion for facilitating learning, unleashing potential, and making a difference in teams and organizations. I use talent analytics to help business leaders make better decisions.
