ABOUT CARLA Y. EMANUELE

If you\'re here, it is likely because a.) you know me and just want to see what I\'m up to, or b.) you don\'t know me but think you might need to know me for a professional-related reason. There is also c.) you stumbled upon this profile for no real reason, but now you kind of need to know where this goes. I welcome one and all to investigate what I\'m about. My headline up there says \"Education & Opportunity for all\" and I have meant that in each role I\'ve taken on. Developing programs and experiences for all kinds of learners is almost quite literally what makes me tick - and I think I\'ve gotten pretty good at it. I\'ve developed programs both in-person AND online in-Theatre -Playwrighting/Play studies -STEM mentoring -Museum studies -Gap year -Professional skill development This means that I have also done my fair share of evaluation and assessment, project management, presenting at conferences, event planning, LMS management, teaching (in-person and online), and creative problem-solving. Not to mention I\'ve worked with stakeholders at a variety of levels, interacted with hundreds of different learners all over the world, and have handled grant and proposal writing projects on a whim (small teams = many hats, you know the drill). I have also begun investing more time in diversity and inclusion work to prioritize the opportunity part of that headline - I truly believe everyone deserves a chance, and I\'d be proud to be a part of someone else\'s \"door opening\" moment. I\'m Latina; I know what it means to have someone reach out and be willing to help you get to your next step. I am currently a co-chair for the DEIA Committee with the Gap Year Association and working with my alma mater (Drew University) to create more sustainable diversity-focused practices within the theatre department. Other things you won\'t find on my resume: I actually really do love learning about social media marketing and am working on getting more training in this area; I run a small Instagram account related to Disney and food that I eventually hope to turn into a small business; I use my project management skills to plan vacations and am so good at it that I have been paid to do it for others; on the flipside, I am not good at all at crafting but I really enjoy it; and I make a mean margarita, fresh, no sweet and sour mix. And honestly? I love meeting people, so whatever brought you here, if you want to know more - just reach out! It\'s a small world after all.
