ABOUT CARLA CHOUCINO

to think in terms of all mankind and our service in the world.\"Hi, y\'all! My name is Carla, and I am a Louisiana State University graduate (2016). I majored in Communication Disorders and Sciences, with a concentration in Speech Language Pathology. I was born in Nashville, TN but was raised in Lake Charles, LA and lived there for 18 years before moving to Baton Rouge for undergraduate school. I then moved to New Orleans, where I worked in the ABA field for 6+ years. I spent two years serving the DFW area and currently reside in and serve the Houston area.I had the privilege of working as a Registered Line Technician at Within Reach, a private-practice clinic located in Metairie, LA, where I implemented Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA therapy) techniques in one-on-one settings and group (preschool) settings with children (varying ages) who have been diagnosed with autism or any related disorders. I graduated with a Masters in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis in December of 2020. This was needed in order to obtain my Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification. I have also completed my internship at Brennan & Associates: Behavior Specialty Group, a clinical and school setting in New Orleans and Kenner. I obtained my BCBA certification from the BACB on 2/14/22.I am currently an ABA Supervisor at Cortica in the Houston area. My jobs include managing client cases, implementing functional assessments, creating skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs, and supervise RBTs. The quote above is taken from my fraternity (Zeta Tau Alpha) creed. How I understand this phrase is how I view my future; to live a full life is to help others.
