ABOUT CARLA HOOK

Senior Director of Supply Chain; including Value Analysis, Contracting, Sourcing, and Operations focused on improving quality care, decreasing utilization and cost while collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Many years of clinical experience in the Emergency Department, and Surgical Short Stay Unit as well as a hospital Educator helped lay the foundation to succeed in my current role. Skilled Supply Chain professional with a Master of Science (MS) in Nursing degree, Nursing Leadership and Education track from the University of Maryland Baltimore. My clinical background helps provide me with a unique opportunity to better understand the needs of the clinicians when negotiating the terms of a contract, evaluating clinical variation, and focusing on improving quality outcomes.Highlights of accomplishments include GPO strategy change and implementation resulting significant savings on day one, accomplishing a GPO compliance of 90%, Implementation of a new ERP and technology/scanning/RFSmart, as well as restructuring SC, and developing and implementing the Value Analysis and certified diverse vendor programs.
