   Franklinton Rising

   Franklinton Rising is building lasting relationships and reviving the Greater Columbus community on the foundation of Christian principles for life. Through the processes of building new affordable housing, young, at-risk adults living in poverty with no committed career plans, who have an interest in developing skills in the building trades and escaping poverty, are trained through class and experiential, on-the-job training. Training focuses on life skills, learning excellent construction skills, and being a productive citizen. These are paid positions. Apprentices are prepared for full-time roles in the construction trades. They are aided in securing an Ohio driver’s license and purchasing a vehicle. Apprentices are networked with some of the best building industry companies in the area. We help our apprentices obtain full-time employment in the trades, leaving poverty behind.
