A very busy Hospitality & Event Educator and Professional with a global perspective and the air miles to back it up!Along the way, I\'ve been honored as one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry and among the Top 500 Event Producers (BizBash).As the Founding Director of the Payne School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at SDSU, I get a lot of joy working with our undergraduate and graduate students and helping them reach their potential. The school launched in 2001 and has since earned global recognition for its innovation, industry relevance, and almost-perfect graduate placement rate. Take a peek here for a glimpse: As the owner of Real World Academics, I get to work on a huge variety of consulting projects, project management assignments and more. RWA is a consulting firm that takes on everything from economic impact studies to market research to asset management for major industry players.A long-time Board Chair for Aztec Shops, a 9-figure sales organization that owns and operates housing, foodservice for SDSU and several major venues including Snapdragon Stadium and Viejas Arena as well as SDSU\'s bookstore.As the Founding Managing Director of the China Hospitality Education Initiative, I got to help Chinese Schools get better at what they do in tourism and hospitality education.I also lead the CSU Hospitality & Tourism Alliance as the Executive Director. The Alliance spans 16 campuses and thousands of students across California.
