ABOUT CARL VAN LANDSCHOOT

After 32 years as a high school educator, all in the Halton Catholic District School Board, I\'ve retired. My last post was the Department Head of Business Studies/Arts/Careers at Corpus Christi Secondary School. I take pride in having taught a variety of subjects including math, geography, science (omg), photography, and Phys ed. In the end, I taught young adults, not accounting or economics etc. My time in the classroom has been supplemented by coaching almost 100 different teams. My concentration has been in hockey (one year I coached three different teams) and golf. I\'ve organized and chaired a number of OFSAA (Ontario high school) championships in both hockey and golf. Taking teams to Europe has also been incredible as I\'ve taken four different teams through Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and northern Italy. All the time required to organize these trips was well worth it. In addition, I\'ve enjoyed the opportunity to coach each of my five children in various sports including football and basketball (what was I thinking?), hockey and golf. Outside of my primary profession I\'ve had some incredible experiences connected to professional golf. I travelled the PGA tour the summer of 1987, 2015 and that led to some caddying and TV related activities that exist to this day. My \'spotting\' experiences include every Canadian Open since 1987, four Ryder Cups, two President Cups, and a variety of other tournaments that have taken me around North America. I now look forward to a more concentrated effort in this industry.
