Researcher with extensive experience in design, manufacture and characterisation of complex formulated products including polymer, surfactant and particulate blends (e.g. battery electrode slurries, melt processed rubbers, polymer solutions for oil recovery applications and laundry detergents). I have interests in tailoring the formulations for sustainability and ease of manufacture, as well as developing novel characterisation to study their properties - particularly for experimental characterisation of fluid rheology and linking it to underlying microstructure. I have experience leading research projects with academic and industry partners, managing laboratories and supervising research teams.
