As the Director of News Operations at WPEC CBS12, a CBS-affiliated television station in West Palm Beach, Florida, I manage and oversee the equipment and technology that enable the production and delivery of high-quality and impactful news stories to the viewers. I have more than 33 years of experience in the news industry, and I am passionate about staying ahead of the curve and adapting to the changing needs and expectations of the audience and the market.My core competencies include implementing and training new technology, scheduling and reviewing staff, planning and budgeting for major news events, and working closely with engineering to reduce technical issues. I also foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the newsroom, and support the News Director on capital budget requests and annual strategy meetings. In my current role, I produced and directed a one-hour special Hate Rising: Antisemitism in America, which won an Emmy. I have also worked with or freelanced for various national and international media outlets, such as CBS, CNN, FOX, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, ESPN, and Inside Edition, showcasing my versatility and adaptability. Some of the news events that I have covered include numerous Hurricanes, Super Bowls, NBA Finals, World Series, The Masters and several Town Halls and Debates including the Fl. Gubernatorial Debate. I am always eager to learn new skills and embrace new challenges in the fast-paced and dynamic news industry.
