Over the past three years, I have served as a Senior Fellow in Film within the Practice as Research department at the Institute for Creative Enterprise. I designed and successfully implemented a Master’s program in Creative Industries, which has significantly contributed to the academic and practical landscape of the field. I have directed over thirty broadcast documentaries and directed the Bill Nighy feature film Sometimes Always Never and cowrote the BBC Film feature Grow Your Own starring Oscar winning actor Olivia Coleman. I have ran a record label and helped launch careers for a number of artists. My tenure at the Institute has also involved the development and execution of a variety of knowledge exchange initiatives, including but not limited to BFI Film Academy courses, Digital Film Courses, Music Video Production courses, Photography courses, and a Kickstart project that yielded numerous employment outcomes for participants. The films produced through these programs have been recognised on an international scale, accumulating over 200 festival screenings and garnering 35 awards. Notably, the Institute for Creative Enterprise received an award from the previous government for excellence in its engagement with young people. In addition to these accomplishments, the Institute for Creative Enterprise co-produced feature films and feature-length documentaries that have been showcased at prestigious festivals such as Cannes and Berlin. Currently, I hold a development deal with screen writer Frank Cottrell Boyce with Universal Music Group for a drama series and a feature film also in development written by Frank Cottrell Boyce.
