About Carl Giordano
Dr. Giordano graduated with honors from Villanova University and Rutgers Medical School, and then completed his Orthopedic and spine training at The Hospital for Joint Diseases – NYU Langone Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. After graduation, Dr. Giordano moved to Morristown, NJ where he joined the staff of Morristown Medical CenterAt The Hospital for Joint Diseases – NYU Langone Medical Center and at Harborview Medical Center, Dr. Giordano completed his neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery fellowship education, training with pediatric surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and industrial injury experts, to obtain his Spine Surgery Fellowship Certificate, representing special expertise in the surgical and non-surgical care of spinal disorders.Dr. Giordano has practiced in New Jersey since 1994, with a focus on work- related (industrial) spine injuries. Dr. Giordano cares for the complete spectrum of spinal disorders. He has special interest and expertise in the neck (cervical spine), back (lumbar spine), and spinal injuries (trauma).Dr. Giordano practice is on the forefront of developing new and better approaches to spine surgery. He has been an active participant in multiple research projects involving the care of patients with spinal problems and was a pioneer in performing one of New Jersey’s first artificial disc replacements. He has also developed several systems for spinal fusions in the most minimally invasive fashion possible.Dr. Giordano has published several articles and book chapters regarding the care of spinal disorders. He is a member of the NASS and the AAOS.Dr. Giordano is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the North American Spine Society.
