I ensure that the business has the right strategies and tactics in place to deliver long-term success when recruiting talent. I have moved the business to engaging a multi-channel approach to recruitment so that it can tap into new talent pipelines i.e. Social channels / Direct / Referrals etc. I oversee the success of the end-end recruitment process. Ensuring that the business is able to reach and connect with desired audiences, that candidates remain engaged throughout the process and that selection processes and hiring experience lead to the best outcome for all. This focus on enhancing internal capabilities has led to better leveraging of the Employer Brand and direct channels, bringing a significant reduction to costs. I work with my HR peers to drive continuous improvement in the People Agenda. I produce new insights and understanding by synthesising external market analysis, internal people data and best practice. This sees me refreshing our approach to Onboarding, EVP, External Partnership and Community development, Early Career pathways and Talent Management initiatives. The business hosts a broad set of disciplines - from roles in Engineering, Scientific, Professional Services, IT, Customer Services, Operations and Environment. This demands the ability to quickly understand needs, conduct market research and the agility to develop and implement the best approach that will deliver results.
