I am a senior member of the Rolls-Royce Strategy and Business Development function. I help shape strategy at Group level and get involved in cross business initiatives in areas such as Competitor Intelligence, Scenario thinking and M&A.I have worked in each of the markets in which Rolls-Royce operates, Civil and Defence Aerospace, Naval and Commercial Marine, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.In addition to supporting the development of the Group’s existing businesses I have initiated and led the creation of new growth options. Examples of the latter in the public domain include projects in Renewable Energy, Urban Air Mobility, Fuel Cells and Direct Air Capture.A key ability is experience in understanding how new technology can feed through into new product opportunities; important to the development of Product and Technology Strategy, for setting investment priorities and for making the case for investment, both internally and externally.
