ABOUT CARISA JOYNER

I am currently a Senior at Cal Poly SLO studying English with the intention of pursuing law. Throughout my academic career, I have consistently made an effort to be involved in leadership in any organization I am a part of. For all of 2024, I served as the Chapter President of the Epsilon Omega chapter of Sigma Kappa, which shows my never-ending drive to be a strong leader and put the desires of those around me into action. During the summer of 2023, I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to move to Seattle, WA to work as a Public Relations Intern for Amazon. During this time, I gained experience in the production/publishing of web articles for the About Amazon blog, developed a page redirects strategy to improve the site\'s SEO performance, and even wrote a few Evergreen articles. You can find the articles I wrote at this link: During the summer of 2024, I worked as a Series Publicity Intern for Amazon Studios where I gained hands-on experience in creating, developing, and executing a robust PR campaign for Amazon\'s films and television shows. I completed various administrative tasks such as coverage reports, press lists, contact sheets, etc and also assisted in the production of events such as screenings, San Diego Comic Con panels/receptions, etc. Through this internship, I not only gained an even deeper appreciation for the entertainment industry but also solidified my desire to pursue a career within it.
