Hiring the best people in retail, developing partners to become the best versions of themselves and growing within my own development has made these last few years fly by and become the most fulfilling. I look forward to what is to come next.19••••16 I enjoyed spending my days working at SCIL(now known as Empowering Abilities). We assisted people with disabilities to stay independent and living within their community. As Program Manager I was responsible to manage a variety of programs requiring a diverse group of employees to work within each area. This required navigating through a plethora of applicants to interview and hire the best candidate for each position. Moving forward with employment offers, onboarding and training each person required an understanding of needs and the best qualified and fit. In addition to managing programs and the hiring processes I was responsible for our state and federal reporting as a non-profit and grant management within each of these programs. Our non-profit had a board of directors and was also responsible to meet specific employee guidelines to be an independent living center. Growing our board and Programs along with hiring to meet the needs was crucial to the continued funding of the center. At the end of 2016 we had our first grandchild born and I spent the next 8 months enjoying caregiving for him prior to moving to Starbucks.
