About Xitlali Cardenas
Hi, I’m Xitlali! I’m a first-generation student studying Computer Science with a Robotics minor at UT Austin. I enjoy exploring the different areas of computer science and finding where I can make the biggest impact. My interests currently lean towards backend software engineering, where I get to work on building systems that are reliable and efficient. At the same time, I’m fascinated by embedded robotics and the ways software connects with hardware, which I explore through my minor and hands-on projects.Beyond my academic pursuits, I’m driven by a mission to promote STEM and computer science education, especially among Hispanic youth. I believe in the power of education to transform lives and am committed to empowering the next generation of innovators.
