I’m the founder of Carbon Clarity, a consultancy committed to helping organisations develop effective, sustainable solutions grounded in the principles of the circular economy. With over 30 years’ experience in waste management and sustainable systems, I provide strategic, science-informed support to clients across the UK, Europe, and internationally.My academic foundation in microbiology and biochemistry, combined with a proven track record in leadership roles across the waste and resources sector, underpins my approach. I’m proud to be a co-founder of the European Compost Network and currently serve as Vice-Chair of the International Solid Waste Association’s Scientific and Technical Committee, where I contribute to global policy development.Since establishing Carbon Clarity in 2009, I’ve led a wide range of projects — from advising on policy for single-use plastics to delivering technical training and consultancy in composting and anaerobic digestion. My clients include government agencies, industry bodies, the private sector, and professional organisations.
