ABOUT CARA WINTER CMLI

Chartered member of the Landscape Institute.In 2018, I graduated with a first in BA Geography from The University of Hull and was awarded the Sally Eden Prize for the ‘best overall student in Geography’. An academic foundation which provides me with a unique and specialist perspective on my work, particularly relating to sustainability and climate resilient design. During my time at university, I also won a study trip to China as part of the Talent Development Programme. I then followed on with a conversion course into Landscape Architecture, gaining Distinction grades in both my Masters and Postgraduate Diploma at Leeds Beckett University. In 2020, I joined the team at PWP Design where have grown into a senior role, supporting clients on a wide range of development and regeneration projects. I have significant experience in residential and commercial development, from planning application stage through to detailed design. I have used my expertise and initiative to launch and implement PWP Design’s Sustainability Principles, and I manage PWP\'s social media. After studying for the last few years, I now gained chartership status with the Landscape Institute. I am a hard-working, organised, and conscientious person, with the ability to learn new programs and skills very quickly and always keen to keep on learning and developing my knowledge. My software abilities include CAD, Graphics, GIS, 3D modelling, Office, Photography and Filmography.Alongside my work and study, I have previously been involved in the Landscape Institute’s Advisory Council and its Yorkshire & Humber branch, where I have gained a broad knowledge of the profession and the frameworks which are shaping its future.
