ABOUT CARA NATTERSON
Dr. Cara Natterson is a leading voice in puberty and adolescent health. A pediatrician, speaker, and the co-host of the This Is So Awkward podcast, she\'s the doctor behind 10 books. Two of them – The Care and Keeping of You 1 + 2 – spent more than 200 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. They have more than 8 million copies in print and are often described as the iconic coming-of-age manuals. After her own kids moved through puberty, Cara founded Less Awkward, the first company aimed at making the tween and teen years more comfortable for both kids and the adults who care for them. In 2020, she opened a DTC brand, OOMLA, that created comfortable bras (Wirecutter named them best of), breathable shorts, and stink-free socks. She has served on several boards as a Director or Advisor, including: Children\'s Hospital Los Angeles, Starlight Children’s Foundation, The Pad Project, The Honest Company, Zemcar/Grip Mobility, Baby2Baby, and The John Thomas Dye School.Cara lives in Los Angeles with her also-a-doctor-and-entrepreneur husband, two college-aged children (who aren’t home nearly enough!), and a pair of terribly behaved dogs.
