This position organizes, implements and monitors the services that support the KCHA\'s education initiatives, which aim to improve the academic and life outcomes of the low-income children we serve.(More information on the educational initiatives found here: Duties include- Working with residents, school districts, service providers, property and facility managers, and other community partners to develop and implement programs, resources, and strategies that support the academic success of children of families receiving KCHA housing assistance-Working closely with KCHA households to educate parents and children on the importance of education, the role regular school attendance plays in academic success, and to empower parents to play an active role in their children\'s education-Assessing KCHA resident needs as they relate to education. Connecting KCHA families with services and programs; establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with school districts, schools and community partners to support academic success.
