For three years, I was an accountant/tax preparer for a very small public firm while completing my education. I broke into the private sector in 2007 working for an international food ingredient manufacturer. In July 2009, I took a job with CareFusion as the Supervisor of General Accounting. From April to October 2013, I was a (remote) member with CareFusion FP & A team location in Vernon Hills (Illinois) as an Advisor. In 2013, I started Nexus Accounting in Gardner, Kansas. In seven years, I grew that business to over 400 clients and sold it in 2019. Accounting process & procedure consulting at various public & private firms 20••••23. Finally throwing myself into the non profit sector full time starting in 2024…this is where my heart belongs.
