ABOUT CARA DAIGLE
I’m a Level 4 Chemical Engineering & Bioengineering Co-op student at McMaster University, currently seeking a 4-8 month co-op placement starting Spring 2026 in engineering, data analytics, or sustainability-focused roles. I’m open to remote, hybrid or in-person opportunities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) and beyond. I have a deep passion for combining technical knowledge, data-driven insight, and hands-on problem-solving to create innovative, human-centered solutions. My academic foundation is supported by interdisciplinary design work, sustainability studies, and a growing interest in systems thinking and real-world impact.During my recent co-op with McMaster’s Chemical Engineering Department, I co-developed a new upper-year lab focused on granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration. This experience sharpened my skills in experimental design, spectrophotometry, isotherm modeling (Langmuir, Freundlich), and Excel-based data visualization (including macros and 3D plots). I thrive in open-ended, exploratory environments where initiative, collaboration, and creativity matter.Beyond the lab, I’ve spent over 6 years working in fast-paced hospitality settings where I honed my communication, multitasking, and leadership skills, qualities praised by colleagues and supervisors alike. I\'m known for my adaptability, strong work ethic, and ability to support and elevate team performance in high-pressure situations.I’m especially drawn to opportunities that blend data analysis, sustainability, process design, and people-focused collaboration. My passion for learning is a core part of who I am; I’m naturally curious and thrive when exploring new ideas or solving complex problems. Whether working on technical challenges, cross-functional projects, or operational improvements, I bring curiosity, structure, and a drive to improve systems for the people who use them.Let’s connect if you\'re passionate about engineering, data, sustainability, or user-focused design, or if you\'re looking for someone ready to bring energy, integrity, and thoughtful analysis to your team.
