About Ric Cantrell
Ric Cantrell has worked at a cattle ranch in Oregon, a trading post in the Mojave Desert, a suicide hotline in Washington, and as a teacher to political refugees from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Nicaragua. He explored the Puget Sound in a sea kayak, and served for two years as a volunteer in Hong Kong for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ric was a wilderness guide for students in the Sonoran Desert, Colorado Plateau, and Great Basin and continues to lead expeditions into America\'s most isolated and beautiful country.Ric was an intern for the Washington State Legislature and then worked as a campaign manager in Eastern Washington, helping a stellar candidate win 67% of the vote. He served as Deputy Campaign Manager in the statewide race for Utah Attorney General, winning 57 percent of the vote. Ric served on the transition team, then worked in the Attorney General\'s Office for three years. In 2004 he moved to the Utah Senate where he served as the Utah Senate Chief of Staff. In August of 2017, he joined the Attorney General\'s team again, as Chief of Staff. He currently serves as the Director of Strategic Engagement with a stellar team at Central Utah Water, delivering clean, safe water to 61 percent of Utah\'s population.
