ABOUT CORY CANNON
As the President and CEO of Knoco International, KnocoUSA, and Cannon-Lear Enterprises LLC, I lead global efforts to transform how organizations create, manage, and apply knowledge to gain strategic advantage. Through these enterprises, I guide public and private sector clients in operationalizing knowledge management, data governance, and artificial intelligence—delivering scalable solutions that enhance decision-making, foster innovation, and improve performance across multi-echelon organizations.Previously, I served as the Director, Data Governance and Dissemination Services at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I oversaw enterprise programs including Open Data, the Paperwork Reduction Act, DoD-VA Joint Data Initiatives, Zero Trust, and the VA Data Stewardship Program. In this capacity, I led initiatives that safeguarded data integrity and accessibility for one of the largest healthcare and benefits delivery systems in the world, directly supporting the mission to serve our nation’s veterans. My background includes over two decades in the U.S. Department of Defense, where I served as an enlisted Marine and a uniformed officer in the U.S. Army, and later as a senior civilian knowledge leader. I developed the definition for Knowledge Management for the DoD. Today, I continue to support governments, corporations, and academic institutions in embedding knowledge as a core asset. As a doctoral researcher in Knowledge and Innovation Management and a university professor, I remain dedicated to developing the next generation of knowledge leaders—equipping them with the frameworks and foresight to thrive in an increasingly complex, data-driven world. I am the creator of the Organizational Knowledge Loop Model (OKL)—a structured framework for transforming raw data into insight and action across tactical, operational, and strategic levels of decision-making.My core belief: Knowledge is not just a resource—it’s the foundation of resilience, agility, and competitive advantage.
