About Tanner Carlson

Raised in the South, Tanner Carlson is something of a entertainer, student, teammate, and friend. Recent achievements include singing at The Bitter End, gaining the AVIXA CTS certification, and graduating with a Master\'s degree from Columbia University.Tanner graduated with an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in December, 2025. Courses include Power Systems Analysis, Solid-State Devices and Materials, Analog Electronic Circuits, and Energy System Economics and Optimization. His most fond memories at Columbia include praying at the beautiful church, building his synthesizer in the teacher\'s lab, and the weekly ETHER lab meetings. During this time, Tanner interned as a systems engineer at Showy. He learned AutoCAD and designed many systems for large and mid-sized corporations on projects around the world.Prior to Columbia, Tanner\'s worked as an Audio Visual Installation Technician at the University of Texas in Austin. There, Tanner built and installed equipment racks, lecterns, and video walls for spaces around the university often leading a group of technicians on active job sites. On a personal note, Tanner got married to Lily Gulley in Round Rock, Texas at the beginning of 2024. You could find him at one of his many shows singing with a guitar and loop pedal at venues around Austin and San Antonio.Tanner moved to Nashville in 2019 to pursue a B.S. in Audio Engineering Technology and played for the division 1 soccer team at Belmont University. Courses included Audio Electronics and Maintenance, Audio Engineering, Electronics and Circuit Theory, and Physics for Audio Engineering. Tanner spent lots of time at the Belmont-owned studios including Columbia Studio A, Quonset Hut, REM Studios, and Ocean Way Nashville where he recorded songs, helped classmates, and set up microphones for orchestral recordings. After graduating from Belmont in three years, Tanner sang at Tootsie\'s Orchid Lounge, Rippy\'s Honky Tonk, and Honky Tonk Central. He would also help independent artists record their songs in studios such as the Honky Tonk School, Keystone Studios, and his personal home studio.In high school, Tanner was focused on school, soccer, and music. He graduated from Alpharetta High School in 2019 with an A+ average. Tanner played in the US Soccer Development Academy for Concorde Fire, Atlanta United, and Georgia United. In his free time, he would record videos and songs for his Youtube channel and Spotify page.
