About Candy Hurtado Bonilla

Musician, artist, dancer, Andean studies researcher and lecturer, political scientist, traveler, and talent management consultant, Dr. Hurtado is a Fulbright Hays DDRA, McKnight and Presidential fellow who holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies (Andean Studies and Ethnomusicology) from Florida Atlantic University.Dr. Hurtado has recently been featured by PBS Nova in their recent Nazca lines documentary. Her ample experience includes cultural development projects, public policy studies, marketing, research, and public relations in the academic, corporate, and non-profit sectors, where she has established important links with key players in the region. With more than twenty years dedicated to working with the Latin American region, eight within talent management consulting, she has lead search processes for Fortune 500 clients in the top global executive search firms in the world. Completing projects in the Andean Region, Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America across industry sectors including consumer goods, media and entertainment, financial services, life sciences, logistics, agriculture, hospitality, education, energy, and information technology among others. Dr. Hurtado is a well recognized Peruvian musician and the Executive Director of the Kuyayky Foundation a federally recognized non-profit organization that fosters the social, political, cultural and economic development of Andean culture through lectures, recordings, cultural productions, performances and fundraising.Candy has been distinguished by the Interamerican Development Bank\'s Youth Program as a \"Latin American Youth Leader\" for her cultural and philanthropic projects.Dr. Hurtado has a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science with minors in Economics and International relations from the same institution.
