Candy is an infectious force of positive energy, engaging, inspiring, and revolutionizing with vision and integrity.As CEO of 618-acre The Cape on Bowen, she established a 32-acre oceanfront Nature Reserve at market value in December 2020, thus realizing a paradigm-shifting economic precedent for ecological conservation. She expanded on that legacy to complete the project. In May 2023, 242 acres of serviced coastal residential property was transferred at market value into the public domain for a regional park.Candy is Founder, CEO & President of EarthSong Communities, development manager and operator of intergenerational residential communities. EarthSong exists to redirect humanity’s trajectory from disconnection towards individual and collective holistic thriving. It designs, builds, enlivens and sustains communities with programs to foster profound interconnection with Community as Family.Concurrently, she is creating a nature-immersive wellness haven, dedicated to guiding self actualization and cultivating empowered, authentic being through grounding, mindfulness practices, technology-supported neurological optimization, and light and sound frequency attunement. In 2012, Candy co-founded Element Lifestyle Retirement and OPAL Vancouver. She conceived, designed and operationalized the intergenerational model of aging-in-place after she identified, assembled and facilitated the acquisition of OPAL lands. Her intergenerational vision was applied to all of Element\'s projects, and earned an international award over 950 retirement living projects assessed worldwide. She was responsible for rezoning; community, municipal, investor & media relations; architecture, interior design, amenity & activities programming; brand development, and project sales, leasing & marketing.In 2001, she joined CPAC Care Management. From 2005 to 2012, she provided international consultancy on the development of aging-in-place communities. In 2004, she also joined The Cape on Bowen, through the years overseeing visioning; strategic planning; partnership negotiations; municipal relations; project management; community relations; branding, sales & marketing. In 2019, she was appointed CEO of The Cape on Bowen.Candy is the outgoing BC & Yukon Chair of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and Board Director of Community Evolution. She is a recipient of the King Charles Coronation Medal for significant national community service. Candy was mentored by Dr. John Gilbert, Member of the Order of Canada, and Senior Advisor of WHO on the Social Determinants of Health.
