I am Candice Sams, a dynamic and passionate leader with over two decades of rich career experience across operations management, labor relations, human resources, global strategic planning, and supply chain management. My journey has molded me into a strategic thinker with a keen focus on cultural intelligence and relationship building. Currently, I serve as the Director of Supplier Opportunity & Development at Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States. In this role, I spearheaded the creation of the Supplier Inclusion function, collaborating closely with corporate leaders, internal and external stakeholders, and key figures in merchandising and procurement. My goal has been to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies and process improvements that champion inclusive supplier sourcing. I lead with a data-driven approach and am deeply committed to fostering diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces. I believe in creating environments where everyone feels they belong, driving innovative solutions that reflect the diverse communities we serve.
