I\'m the founder and owner of Vada Counseling, a group practice by and for LGBTQ+ folks in Texas! We offer both virtual and in-person therapy for individuals, couples, and families, as well as group counseling.As a therapist, I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for LGBTQ+ adults and teens, specifically around issues of gender identity, sexuality, and sexual trauma. My therapeutic approach is person-centered with a mix of Feminist, Queer, Existential, and Liberation-based psychology. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process built on understanding, mutual respect, and authentic communication.I also have expertise in developing and presenting training workshops on anti-racism, cultural competence, gender diversity, sexual trauma, active allyship, and the neurobiology of trauma.
