Candice Guardino (Actress) is the great niece of famous actor, Harry Guardino, whom inspired her to create ITALIAN BRED. Candice was born in Brooklyn NY, then moved to Staten Island, now lives in NYC. Her parents live in the country, according to her mother, which is now Jersey. Candice grew up singing, dancing and giving weekly performances of original musical for her family in their living room, with her little sister, Kelli. Listening to her Grandma’s metaphors & Dad’s life stories, to impersonating her family member and getting punished for it from her Mom for being “Not Nice”. This has given Candice a ton of material and has prepared Candice for her performance in “Italian Bred” better than any training, she has ever had.Some of her favorite credits include: Uprights Citizens Brigade Showcase, LA & NY. New York Musical Theatre Festival: That Other Woman’s Child ( Knob). The NYC Premiere of Worlds Away, new musical (Juna), Gypsy (Agnes) at Westchester Broadway Theatre, Blues Clues (National Tour) at Madison Square Garden, West Side Story (Anita), Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie) and Antigone (Ismene). TV: Guiding Light, All My Children, Law & Order, & Max Bickford.Candice has a BA in Musical Theatre from Wagner College. As a writer, Candice has written several screenplays, sitcoms and stageplays. She is the head writer for sketches, commercials, and webisodes for exclusive improv groups around NYC. She is a proud AEA, AFTRA-SAG Member, a Licensed Core Fusion & Pilates Instructor @ Exhale Spa and the worst baker, but dreams of owning her own bakery some day. Candice dedicates Italian Bred to her late grandma: Fran Guardin.

   Recognized as the industry leader in actor showcases designed to highlight diverse talent, the CBS Diversity Institute Talent Showcases are in their ninth year and are attended by senior level CBS Entertainment executives, as well as showrunners and casting directors from series on CBS as well as other networks and high level talent agents. OPENS JANUARY 2015 CBS’ most recent talent showcase is the 10th Annual Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase held at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles and filled the house for 4 performances. More than 20 actors and writers were selected from more than applicants who applied and 2,500 that auditioned, who in turn wrote and performed their own original material under the supervision of Director Rick Najera. The Showcase is produced by CBS Casting VP Fern Orenstein who has been in charge of a variety of Diversity Talent Showcases for CBS since 2002. Noted CBS Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Josie Thomas:\"CBS is proud that the Showcase continues to result in more diverse professional auditions, representation and bookings.\"
