ABOUT CANDICE RAINEY

Hi, I\'m Candice. A little background on me: I\'m a senior copywriter at Yelp who\'s really good at writing copy that doesn\'t sound like copywriting. I help industry-leading brands like Yelp, Netflix, Uber, and Ellevest have conversations with their audiences that inspire action. Unless that action is scrolling past your email or social post, then that\'s like the opposite of what I do. All to say, making creative things that hook into an emotional need and solve business problems is kind of my thing. Before I did this, I was a writer for GQ where I did super important journalism like ranking hair pomade and interviewing Zach Braff. Eventually, I went on to become the deputy editor at ELLE and Details, and the executive editor at Condé Nast Traveler. My writing has also appeared in The New York Times, Esquire, Men’s Journal, Travel & Leisure, and other national outlets. I’ve written about everyone from Rihanna to Mitt Romney. It’s been a non-linear ride to say the least.Also, sometimes I write fiction.
