About Candas Ifama Barnes
Candas is a transformational coach, ordained minister, and best-selling author devoted to supporting people in moving from pain, invisibility, and feeling discarded into a life of spiritual purpose, full expression, and meaningful legacy. After 39 years as an American Sign Language interpreter, her own season of loss revealed a deeper calling to guide others in reclaiming dignity, expression, and self-trust. Candas integrates counseling insight, embodied faith, and her Eight Domains of Well-Being framework to support whole-life alignment across wellness, service, relationships and work. Through her own practice of physical alignment, she demonstrates that transformation is lived through the body. A former faculty member with Iyanla Vanzant’s Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development, Candas is known as a linguistic alchemist whose resonant voice awakens clarity, courage, and truth, empowering individuals to live fully seen, expressed, and aligned with who they are created to be.
