About Candace Parrish
I am an academic, a researcher, an artist/designer, and a Beyoncè fan:) I fostered a passion for teaching and research while I finished my Ph.D. at an interdisciplinary program at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since transitioning into the role of an Assistant Professor (and now, Director) I have been recognized nationally & internationally for my research centered around visuals (infographics) used in public relations and health communication-although my interests span over a few areas (including sexual assault, diversity, sustainability and body positivity.) Additionally, I have over 9 years of industry/consulting experience, I have published and presented research in top journals and conferences, and am a freelance writer who has contributed to PR Daily.
