Serves on the senior leadership team and works closely with the Board of Directors. Responsible for managing all aspects of Benetech’s fundraising and communication efforts. Leads and oversees the team working on, major gifts, capital campaign, annual fundraising, grant writing, events, donor stewardship and record keeping, external communication and website management, and all other elements of Benetech’s externally facing functions. The VP Development participates in strategic planning and goalsetting for the organization, the hiring of key staff, direct fund development, and strategic decision making. Develops successful relationships with new donors to strengthen the financial capabilities of the organization and as a result the organization’s ability to realize its strategic plan, to maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donors, and to build an exceptional fundraising team.
