Dr. Zhang has over 20 years’ experience leading biomedical research focused on molecular mechanisms and translational research of diseases/conditions, particularly Alzheimer’s disease (AD). His primary research interests are biological roles and pathological changes of AD genes/proteins/pathways, therapeutics for AD (gamma secretase modulators, curcumin/analogs, epigenetic HDAC6/11 inhibitors), and aging-related biomarkers in the brain.
