Engine Demand Planning (Dept 211) is composed of a Manager, Lead Planners and Specialists who efficiently manage Delta’s spare engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and landing gear both on-wing (on aircraft) and in the shop. Engine Demand Planning works alongside Dept 413, who provides forecasts to plan inductions and UERs for the year (Engine Demand Planning is responsible for executing these forecasts).Forecasts are developed from bin fill levels, low time removals, engine changes & shortages and engine serviceability. These metrics are how department 211 explains financial needs for events planned and unplanned.Dept 211 hosts IPTs and LIPTs to collaborate with Engine Maintenance to execute the forecasted plan. Daily Tasks Include Updating- Morning Reports- Attending IPTs- Metric Data Collection- Borescope Sheet- Removals- Preservation- OM812 Monitoring Monthly- Engine Trigger Point Review- Metrics Execution- DAL/OSR TAT ChartsQuarterly- Engine Executive Review- Spare Allocation Model
