About Camilyn Scheibert

Currently, I am an uprising senior at the Kelley School of Business majoring in Finance with a co-major in Tech Management. I am originally from Dayton, Ohio where I went to high school at The Miami Valley School. I have a passion to be continually learning and developing as an individual and professionally. I believe that I developed this drive during high school because of my school\'s curriculum titled the “Immersion Method”. This method is in place because it is believed and taught that true education is rooted in direct experience, which leads to engagement and the discovery of passion by each individual. Instead of only studying for a test, we learned through hands-on experiences that allowed a learner to completely grasp the knowledge. An example of this being practiced is during the whole month of January, instead of classes, one would study one single topic in depth. During my senior year of high school, I took the route of creating my own independent immersion. I continued this through studying abroad in Rome for a semester my junior year of college to learn about finance in a global setting. Through this method of learning, I strengthen who I am, what my goals are, and what drives me to be the best version of myself continually. Continuing to now, I am focused on developing my professional skills and experiences. Involving myself in student involvement activities, such as studying abroad, teacher assisting, and Body Project, has provided a diversified college experience. Finally, I interned with Global Atlantic Financial Group, a subsidiary of KKR, this past summer in Corporate Development in New York City. This was a rotational internship where I had the opportunity to work on the M&A, debt capital markets, and investor relations with capital raising teams. Beyond college, my ideal workplace will push me to be my best, be an immersive learning environment, and a place where I will be able to form a community, both professionally and personally with my colleagues.
