WORK HISTORY
Press Freedom Monitoring & Communications Officer @European Federation Of Journalists
Brussels, BE
As the Press Freedom Monitoring and Communications Officer for the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), I work for the Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR) project, which is funded by the EU and is dedicated to monitoring media freedom violations in the EU and candidate countries. My role involves communications (statements, reports, advocacy missions and social media), as well as providing support to journalists in the form of legal and practical assistance and protection. I also monitor media freedom violations on the Council of Europe\'s Safety of Journalists platform and support EFJ communications and advocacy for our members. I also created the \"PressTalks\" podcast, available on YouTube and Spotify. A safe platform where I host journalists and media representatives, to discuss challenges to press freedom and amplify journalists\'s voices.

ABOUT CAMILLE MAGNISSALIS
I am working at the European Federation of Journalists as Press Freedom Monitoring Officer. Passionate about journalism and Human Rights, I designed a workshop for media outlets to better protect journalists from online and offline violence, under patronage of UNESCO.My academic background includes a degree in International and European law, coupled with a master\'s in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the University for Peace - a UN Mandated institution in Costa Rica. Thriving in diverse settings has always been pivotal to my professional journey, making my integration into the multicultural environment of EFJ particularly meaningful.Prior to my current role, I spent a year at France 24 and more recently completed an internship within the media section of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. My podcast \"Sin Filtros\" has provided me with the opportunity to conduct interviews with distinguished members of the United Nations, including the High Commissioner and discuss Human Rights, without any filters.
