ABOUT CAMILLA HUNTLEY
Hi, my name is Camilla Huntley, a current undergraduate attending Hampton University pursuing a Bachelor\'s in Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Holding a 4.0 GPA, being a member of the Freddye T. Davy Honors College and Pre- Law Institute. As an aspiring lawyer passionate about criminal defense, justice reform, and advocating for marginalized communities, I’m dedicated to building expertise in criminal law and public defense while contributing positively to the legal field with hopes to challenge systemic injustice. My legal journey began as the founder of The Precedent Project, an initiative I created to support and uplift aspiring legal professionals, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds within my community and bridge the gap between pre-law students and the realities of the legal profession to increase the 5% of Black legal professionals.Further experience will come from my upcoming internships at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office and Aleshire & Wynder LLP this summer, which will provide me with valuable experience in legal research, case preparation, and client advocacy. I am eager to develop these skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning.Additionally, I serve as a Student Senator in Hampton University\'s Student Government Association, as the Chair for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee where I engage with the student body to draft, advocate for, and implement bills that address their concerns and promote campus inclusivity.Fluent in both English and Spanish, I hope to use my bilingual skills to serve diverse communities with empathy, transparency, and integrity. Let\'s connect! I’m always open to learning, mentorship, and opportunities that align with justice, equity, and empowerment.
