ABOUT CAMILA BOYNTON

As a public health informatician, I specialize in data management, pipeline construction, and capacity building. I bring experience in WASH initiatives, emergency response, start-ups, laboratory research, and low-resource settings. My early career living/working in Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Egypt, China, and Turkey strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas across languages and academic disciplines—skills I now apply to public health informatics. I aim to reduce barriers to learning public health data science and create inclusive pathways for new learners. I enjoy mentoring emerging public health professionals in data science fundamentals and have developed curricula to build analytics capacity in the field. I have experience working in Python, Databricks, and the Microsoft PowerPlatform to create automated pipelines feeding PowerBI dashboards. These dashboards can, in turn, be integrated with other Microsoft products such as SharePoint and Teams.
